Aldenham School, Founded 1597

Rounders is the main girls' sport in the summer term, played on four pitches in the glorious setting of Cooke's Field. Here competitive games are against other independent and state schools including Edge Grove, Belmont, Bishop's Stortford, King Alfred, Royal Masonic, Kingshot, Haileybury, Mill Hill, St Albans High School and Heathmount.

This sport is popular with the girls who enjoy the element of competition as well as having fun in the fresh air during the summer months. The six teams, ranging from the U13s to the 1st VII, take part in midweek and weekend fixtures, whilst the girls in Year 7 and 8 can also look forward to regular Tournaments. The friendly inter-House rivalry by the seniors, junior and Martineau's girls (Year 7 & 8) is greatly anticipated by all.
