Admissions at 11+
At eleven years of age there are around 80 places available.
Applicants should have attained the age of eleven before September 1st in the year of entry. Places are offered on the basis of a satisfactory performance at the 11+ examination, interview and school report. The entrance examination aims to test the skills of the candidates whatever their background, and cover the areas in the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum. Additional tutoring should not be needed.
All candidates must have completed a Registration Form (closing date 20th November).
You will be invited for interview after registration is complete. This usually takes place before the examination, but if all times are fully booked, then interviews will take place post examination, subject to good performance in the examination.
If you have not yet seen the school, please click here to book a tour.
Entrance Assessment
All registered candidates will be invited to sit the entrance examination. References will also be requested from the candidate's current school and we aim to interview as many children and families as possible.
Where Do The Examinations Take Place?
Examinations take place in the child's primary or prep school and are online. Prep and Primary Schools will host our examination between 25th November 2024 and 6th December 2024. For overseas candidates, they can take place at their primary school or in a British Council office in the same window. If a Prep or Primary School is unable to host the examination, Aldenham is holding sessions on 30th November.
Once you have formally registered for a place - please contact your child's prep or primary school to find out if and when they hosting a session. If they are unable to do this, please contact Aldenham on admissions@aldenham.com so that we can add you to our list to sit the examination here.
