Meet Mrs Murray

Mrs Emma Murray  joined Aldenham back in 2017 and is Deputy Head with responsibility for Co-curricular, Sixth Form and External Affairs. Before starting a career in finance she read Modern History at the University of Oxford. She then undertook the notoriously difficult actuarial exams (effectively very complicated financial maths) to qualify as an Actuary.

However when she started a family Mrs Murray made the decision to retrain as a Maths teacher. Her teaching career started at Bedford School where she subsequently became a Housemistress and was Director of the International Baccalaureate programme.

She lives on site with her husband, three children and a dog. One of her great joys is running, and she was thrilled to have finally broken the 4-hour mark in a marathon in Bournemouth in 2018, recording a time of 3h57.
