The children in Year 3 had an amazing experience at Celtic Harmony recently. They learned how people in the Stone Age lived, how they hunted and gathered for food (including spearing Woolly Mammoths!). They built dens using logs, twigs, leaves, ‘brush’ and then covered them for camouflage with long grass. They also took part in a trading activity and took home a small Stone Age gift.
All the children enjoyed dressing as their favourite book characters for a very special Book Day. Postponed from last term it was an opportunity to share favourite books and characters.
A highlight of this term’s Science Week was the Bubble Show from the Science Museum. Through the show the bubbles got bigger and bigger, so big that some of the children even found themselves inside one!
