Singing Festival

Aldenham Prep School hosted it’s second KS1 Singing Festival in Barton Hall. Years 1 and 2 were joined by children of similar ages from three local primary schools; St Hilda’s Prep School, St John’s C of E Infant School and Little Reddings Primary School. It was an exciting morning of communal music making and an event that I hope the children will remember for ever!

Speech and Drama Festival

After 3 weeks of competition in Rickmansworth and Watford the Speech and Drama Festival finished with a finale concert where all gold medal winners competed for overall trophies. World Book Day

Children, and staff, excelled themselves with the array of costumes on display for World Book Day.  The Prep School children followed a theme of characters from Shakespeare whilst the children in the Foundation Stage focused on Nursery Rhymes.  Well done to everyone.

Year 5 Making Bridges

Year 5 became mini-engineers, crafting their very own bridges out of objects from their tables. They began brainstorming cool shapes and adding that crucial arch for extra oomph! Year 5 went on a wild ride, testing and poking their bridges to see just how strong they could make them!
