We were thrilled to welcome the local fire brigade to school last week as part of our topic on ‘People Who Help Us’. During their visit, the firefighters engaged with the children in interactive demonstrations and discussions about fire safety. They even let them pretend to drive the Fire Engine. Thank you to these brave men and women who help keep us safe.
A fabulous party to celebrate the Jubilee.
Year 5 and 6 were introduced to Shakespeare at the Globe Theatre in London. As well as visiting the exhibition the children watched a sword fighting display, performed on the famous stage and took part in a theatre workshop.
To commemorate Armistice Day all the children in the Foundation Stage made a hand print that created a Union Flag. The flag formed part of the Year 6 led assembly and the school chapel bell tolled 288 times in memory of those members of the school, pupils and staff, who lost their lives in the […]
