The children greatly enjoyed our visit to Aldenham Church. The Revd. Robert Fletcher kindly gave us a talk about the History of the Church. The children particularly enjoyed learning about how the tower, which was built around 1250, was damaged in 1940 by a german bomb, destroying the spire and damaging the parapet. Amazingly, the bells were undamaged and the rebuilding of the tower and the new spire was finished in 1950. It was truly a pleasure to see them so engaged learning about Aldenham Church and asking so many questions about it.
The dampness of the day in Great Missenden did not deter Year 3 as they partook in all things Roald Dahl.
Year 5 went to Bushcraft, Blenheim Woods.This residential visit lasting 2 nights and 3 days provided us with a camping experience we will never forget!As part of our stay, we had to make a fire in the woods and cook our lunch, which was burgers. During the course of the trip we had lessons in […]
