Year 5 attended a Greek Workshop. It was led by Philipos (phil) a Greek soldier. He showed them how to make mosaic tiles, carve soap, make Greek wine pots and use herbs to treat ailments. By far the most demanding was making olive oil from actual olives and then using a wick to burn the oil in a lamp.
All the children enjoyed a day away from their screens to focus on a day of healthy living. They made healthy meals, went on walks, found the time to relax and made fruit kebabs whilst practicing their French.
Year 4 loved Anglo-Saxon day ran by ‘Those History People’. As they entered school on Wednesday, they were very much in role of their new Anglo-Saxon character.
