Year 5 children recently visited the Oxfordshire Woods to complete a two-day camp at Bushcraft.Two tribes completed across the course of two days in a variety of outdoor survival challenges including building fires, shelters, and whittling. Little sleep was had overnight due to the excitement of staying with their friends all bundled together in tents. After many campfire games, singing and chants the chilre4n complete the final Bushcraft challenges: a marshmallow shelter, fire building to burn through a rope and leaving camp without a trace The tribe, Barney’s Brownies, emerged victorious through values of teamwork, determination and resilience!
