The children celebrated Christmas at Aldenham Prep in many ways. The children in Year 1 and 2 produced a virtual performance of the Christmas Play ‘Children of the World’ and the children in Nursery and Reception shared their Christmas songs. The whole school wore their Christmas hats and raised nearly £800.00 for Brain Tumour Research in the process. From Reception to Year 6 the children took part in a beautiful Carol Service. Here is a selection of just some of the carols and songs.
Year 12 students Nicola and Joe led an interesting and lively assembly on the EU referendum. They both were impressed by the knowledge of the Prep School children and the level of their questions. We are looking forward to more assemblies led by our Senior School pupils.
The new Prep School will be called Vincent House and work is continuing at a pace. Due to the current lockdown the last lessons have been taught in Wilson House and it is being prepared for demolition. When the children return they will do so in a brand new school!
In Design and Technology Year 1 used their senses to explore a range of vegetables as part of their topic ‘Eat More Veg’. They wrote riddles describing what they saw, smelled, felt and tasted.
