Celebrations are the order of the day at both Aldenham Senior School and Aldenham Prep School following the recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection. We are delighted that the School has again reached the highest possible outcome with full compliance in every standard and the top rating of EXCELLENT.
This process firstly checked on the compliance of the School with all aspects of regulation in relation to independent schools, including boarding and early years’ provision. It was also a chance for the inspectors to take a view on the quality of the educational provision for pupils throughout the School in terms of academic and personal development. The inspection team spent three days in the School and also looked at the parents’ responses to a questionnaire at the beginning of the process.
The Headmaster Mr James Fowler congratulated everyone: "This is a very creditable reflection of the work of every one of the school staff, both teaching and support staff, the way in which the pupils respond to what is offered for them, and of course the support for the School by the parents."
Mr Trevor Barton, Chair of Governors, spoke of the immense pride the Governors have for the Schools. Referring to the report he said “It reflects not only the quality of the education provided at Aldenham, but also the spirit and ethos of the Schools, the dedication and hard work of all the staff, the character and achievements of our pupils and the very positive impression they make.”
Mrs Vicky Gocher, Headmistress of the Prep School added “It is wonderful for all the pupils and staff, from the Nursery to Year 6, to have the essence of Aldenham recognised in such a way.”

Nursery Update
We have been exploring sounds in Phonics, compared quantities in Maths, and got creative with nature faces and hedgehog art using autumn leaves. The children loved our woodland walk and story time! Next week’s theme: ‘Ourselves’—please help your child bring a picture or drawing of their house for Show and Tell.
