Prep were delighted to be joined by Hellen Manufor for a coaching session and learn from her extensive knowledge of the game.
Hellen was recently announced as Head Netball Coach at Aldenham school. Hellen was recently appointed to the Board of Wales Netball as the first ever Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Director. Hellen has wide experience in netball and sports covering a range of roles including: International Brand Manager for Gilbert Netball, a Commonwealth Games medallist as a player and a coordinator for Team Nigeria at the 2012 Olympic Games. She has also played an instrumental role in the re-introduction of netball to Nigeria over the last 20 years.
In addition to her work in sport, Hellen has been involved with a range of charity work. This includes UNICEF’s work in Nigeria which has helped to tackle inequality and poverty amongst girls aged 12-18.
She brings with her a wealth of experience, knowledge and insight from the world of netball and we are delighted that she will be working with Aldenham pupils in the role of Head Coach.
Aldenham hosted a Netball Festival involving seven teams from six different schools. All the schools played each other and therefore played six games each. It was an extremely enjoyable afternoon involving lots of really great netball. Over 70 girls took part ranging in age from Years 4-6.
A competitive and enjoyable event on Button Field in the beautiful sunshine.
Well done to all runners that competed for their House on a relatively mud-free Button Field. The overall trophy this year went to Champion.
