Our Year 6 pupils went on a trip to the Howtown Outward Bound Centre in the Lake District. It was a very exciting and memorable experience. They participated in a range of activities that pushed them out of their comfort zone and helped them develop their teamwork, leadership, and problem solving skills. Whether they were cliff jumping, waterfall scrambling, raft building, rowing, hill walking or tunnelling, the pupils learned the importance of communication and adhering to our core values of respect, aspiration and determination. The programme helped them build their confidence and self-esteem, and they returned to school with a real sense of accomplishment. Well done to all of them and remember: ‘We are all better than we know. If only we can be taught to realise this, we may never again be prepared to settle for anything less.‘ Kurt Hahn
