The children in Reception have continued with their topic ‘People who Help us’ with a visit from the local police force. They talked about how to stay safe then enjoyed trying on uniforms. They even went in the police van complete with flashing lights and a very loud siren!
Year 3 had great fun completing their DT project on Mechanical Systems. Each child made a unique and fabulous pneumatic toy. They designed and created secure housing for their pneumatic systems independently. The children thoroughly enjoyed operating their toys and watching their mouths open and close!
Year 6 had their first visit to the Creative Space this week. We began our unit of work called ‘2D to 3D.’ Our source of inspiration has originally been drawn from Lubaina Himid, a Turner Prize Winner.
