Rock Star Maths

Everyone had a fantastic day celebrating International Maths Day and Pi Day! Years 1 to 6 were rock stars for the day, ready to complete their Times Tables Rock Star Gig as a whole school during an extra special assembly! 

Nursery and Reception looked fantastic dressed in numbers, shapes and patterns. Rock music played whilst the children arrived at school and there was a wonderful buzz! Years 1 and 2 completed their ‘gig’ on paper and really impressed their teachers with their determination!

Once the hard work was over it was time to enjoy a gig of another type. We were joined by Foundation Stage and our guest, Mr Fletcher, read one of his books about rockstars and everyone danced to his songs! He even had a ‘guitar off’ with Mrs Galpin! It was wonderful to see the whole school singing, dancing and having fun! 

Year 6 went to the Senior School and enjoyed some great Pi Day activities with special awards to be won. The rest of the school enjoyed a variety of fun Maths activities throughout the day. What a rocking day! We love Maths!
