We were thrilled to welcome the local fire brigade to school last week as part of our topic on ‘People Who Help Us’. During their visit, the firefighters engaged with the children in interactive demonstrations and discussions about fire safety. They even let them pretend to drive the Fire Engine. Thank you to these brave men and women who help keep us safe.
There was glorious sunshine for the recent Summer Fair. Bottle Stall, Tombola, Grand Raffle and a Coconut Shy were among the many attractions. Maypole dancing and plenty of refreshments made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
It has been busy so far and there is still lots to come.
This term’s Year 6 residential trip took place at the Howtown Outward Bound Centre in The Lake District. Throughout the week pupils participated in a variety of outdoor and adventurous activities aimed at developing confidence, resilience, emotional control, teamwork, goal setting and environmental awareness.
