We have had a wonderful week in Reception, the highlight being a visit from some police officers on Thursday and getting the opportunity to go inside their police van. The visit started with the police officers telling us about what they do in their role and then we got the opportunity to try on some of their uniform! After that we went outside and into the police van. We heard the siren, had a go at holding the police shields and also the chance to go in the little jail in the back of the van. It was such a brilliant visit and the children had a memorable time learning about the police.
Year 1 and 2 put on a superb performance of The Magical Christmas Jigsaw. The singing was superb and the show was thoroughly enjoyed by all who watched it.
When the current Year 3 visited the Affinity Water’s Education Centre. Their challenge was to bring a lunch that leaves NO landfill waste at all. Reception had a visit from Green Watch from Borehamwood fire station. They were shown around their brand new fire truck and even got to use the hose. They also found out about their uniform and some of the emergencies they help with.
