Year 3 Egyptian Day

March 9, 2023

Year 3 had a wonderful, fun-filled Ancient Egyptian Day! They stepped back in time to Ancient Thebes where they participated in the story of Tutankhamun’s reign through a combination of practical making activities, drama and role-play. They enjoyed activities such as mummification,  making canopic jars, bread making, perfume making, scarab carving and ink making and writing. The children  recreated the festival of Wepet-Renpet: The Opening of the Year; their performance was absolutely fantastic!
