Year 3 Learn about the Stone Age

January 20, 2016

The children in Year 3 at Aldenham Prep School have been learning about the Stone Age and they have greatly enjoyed making antler headdresses which the prehistoric men used to wear in the Stone Age.
Archaeologists think that it may have been used in hunting to camouflage the hunters, or in ceremonies to ensure a successful hunt.

The front part of the skull with both antlers attached had two holes drilled in it so it could be worn on the head.

This is an example of the way pupils at Aldenham Prep School have an enriched education, packed full of opportunities to develop their love of learning.
