“After exploring some of The Wonderlab, we went to see a show and we learnt about explosions. My favourite thing in the Wonderlab was the machine that generated electricity. When you touched someone’s hand whilst they were touch it too you got a small electric shock!”

“I loved our trip to the Science Museum. We got to go to a show called ‘It takes guts.’ We got to see the inside of someone’s digestive system, including the rectum – it was gross! We also got to watch a show all about explosions. I learnt that to make fire you need: heat, fuel and oxygen.”

The children in Reception have continued with their topic ‘People who Help us’ with a visit from the local police force. They talked about how to stay safe then enjoyed trying on uniforms. They even went in the police van complete with flashing lights and a very loud siren!
Year 5 worked as part of a Team to created the sturdiest bridge possible. They created their designs using CAD, before finalising them thinking carefully about their design brief and the structures that are most sturdy.
