Year 5 went to Bushcraft, Blenheim Woods. This residential visit lasting 2 nights and 3 days provided us with a camping experience we will never forget! As part of our stay, we had to make a fire in the woods and cook our lunch, which was burgers. During the course of the trip we had lessons in first aid and survival, the safe use of knives and making traps in the wild. We played camouflage games, such as predator and 21. Of course, we also ate smores and sang lots of campfire songs. What an adventure!!!
Year 5 had a fantastic time at Cornbury Park. They learnt to build shelters, slept under the stars, cooked their food over an open fire and swam in a fresh water lake.
Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Celtic Harmony where they were able to really get to grips with prehistoric life. The children started the day travelling back 5,000 years and seeing how a fire would have been made. Other activities included: den building, trading, flint knapping and hunting and gathering.
The dampness of the day in Great Missenden did not deter Year 3 as they partook in all things Roald Dahl.
