This year’s House Drama challenged students to create an original piece inspired by different time periods, resulting in six completely different and imaginative performances.

Kennedy’s transported us back to the Ice Age, using incredible shadow work to bring mammoths to life, while Leeman’s explored the history of Elizabethan theatre, ultimately revealing that despite everything happening at the time, the most important event was, of course, the opening of Aldenham School! Paull’s took us to Ancient Greece, retelling Greek mythology from the perspective of women, while Ridding’s looked forward, exploring the future and questioning the cost of free will. McGill’s tackled hypermasculinity, with Louis Levy delivering a standout performance that earned him the award for Best Actor.

The overall winners were Beevor’s, who told the moving story of a doctor attempting to cure dementia. In a powerful final twist, it was revealed that everything the audience had witnessed was, in fact, episodes of his own dementia.
