Basketball at Aldenham

Basketball has grown rapidly at Aldenham and is now a popular and established part of the School’s sporting programme. Pupils have access to three practice courts and a full-sized match court, providing excellent opportunities for both training and competitive play.

Aldenham competes in the LISBA and Watford District leagues, alongside a varied fixture programme against local schools. The programme is led by our dedicated Basketball Coach, Alex Ducasse, who has played an important role in developing the sport and increasing participation across the School.

Basketball is available through Games, Enrichment and competitive fixtures, giving pupils a range of opportunities to get involved and develop their skills. It is also particularly popular within our boarding community, with boarders able to access the courts during the evenings as part of the wider boarding activities programme.

Whether playing recreationally or representing Aldenham competitively, basketball provides pupils with an exciting, inclusive and increasingly competitive sporting pathway.
