Netball at Aldenham
Netball is a major part of the girls’ sporting programme at Aldenham, with pupils playing throughout both the Christmas and Lent Terms. Our programme provides opportunities for players of all abilities, from those competing at the highest level of school netball to pupils enjoying the sport through recreational and House competition.
Teams compete in a comprehensive fixture programme alongside National, County and District competitions across all age groups. Aldenham has enjoyed success at the highest level, with our U18 team crowned Sisters n Sport National Trophy Champions in 2025, a fantastic achievement that reflects the strength and continued development of netball at the School.
Alongside representative school netball, our House competitions provide further opportunities for pupils to get involved in a competitive but enjoyable environment, ensuring netball is accessible across the School.
Aldenham has three outdoor netball courts and one indoor court, providing excellent opportunities for training and competitive fixtures throughout the year.
Netball Teams
We field multiple teams at U12, U13, U14, U15 and U18 level, with pupils representing Aldenham in a busy programme of regular home and away fixtures.
The programme extends well beyond the regular school timetable. Players have access to a range of additional opportunities, including pre-season training, after-school sessions for our elite players and regular tours at both junior and senior level.
These opportunities allow our most committed netballers to receive additional coaching and development while ensuring there remains a strong emphasis on participation, enjoyment and representing the School.
Netball Tours
Tours are an important part of the Aldenham Netball experience, providing pupils with the opportunity to develop both on and off the court.
Recent senior tours have included Sri Lanka, Malta and Marbella, where our players have competed against local and international opposition while also taking part in specialist training sessions delivered by top-class coaches.
Beyond the sporting benefits, touring provides pupils with memorable experiences, strengthens friendships and team spirit, and gives them the opportunity to experience different cultures through sport.
From representing Aldenham for the first time to competing for national honours, our aim is to provide every pupil with the opportunity to enjoy their netball, develop as a player and fulfil their potential, while creating a clear pathway for our highest-performing players to compete at an elite level.
