Josh King is on his way to Oxford

January 18, 2016

Many congratulations to Josh King who has received an offer from Mansfield College, Oxford to read Material Science. Out of five applicants this year four were called to interview which is a great achievement in itself. Everyone acquitted themselves well at the highest level of competition.

Josh, House Captain of McGill’s House, has enjoyed flexi-boarding since he joined Aldenham in Year 7 from a north London Primary School. With his love of learning, Academic Scholar Josh has his eyes set firmly on a career in industry, ideally with Rolls-Royce, Jaguar or NASA once he completes his Material Science degree. Josh is currently working hard on his A Levels in Physics and Chemistry.

A keen squash player, Josh was part of the winning team in the last House competition. Other interests include, Debating and Business Challenge. Last year Josh led his team to the Herts final of the Young Enterprise competition with their company ‘Air’, selling portable phone chargers.

We wish him well in his aspirations and are sure that he will settle easily into life at Oxford.
