Celebrating Being Kind

May 28, 2021

This year, the Junior Houses celebrated 5 years of Random Acts of Kindness Week. The aim of this week every year is to encourage the development of a culture of kindness within the school, and each tutor group was assigned a different day for their act of kindness. Highlights included, kind notes being left in lockers, thank you notes and chocolates left for staff, litter picking around the House and helping in the school office. One of the most poignant moments of the week, though, was when every student in the House was asked to anonymously nominate someone else in the year group who they viewed as kind with a reason why. There were so many wonderful nominations, and those with the most were awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of their kindness towards others.

We look forward to celebrating this very worthy cause again next year.
