U15 ISFA Finalists
February 9, 2024
On a historic day for the School’s football programme, the U15s joined the U13s (who beat Habs earlier in the week) in the ISFA National Final to be played at Burton Albion FC on 14 March. The U15s beat a resilient Rossall School 2-1 to reach the final. Aldenham dominated the game but the Rossall goalkeeper was in inspired form during the first half. Aldenham managed to break the deadlock when Nefe Osazee scored at the near post following good work from Marley Francis in midfield.
Aldenham started the second half strongly but missed a number of chances to put the game out of reach for Rossall but eventually scored a second goal through Elikem Ameadah when he swept home at the far post following a corner.
Aldenham spurned a number of other opportunities to increase their lead and were made to pay when Rossall scored a penalty 5 minutes from time to set up a nervous finish. Aldenham held on and reached their third U15 final in the last six years.

Once again this exemplifies the grit and resolve of pupils and staff, undeterred by inclement weather, to build a sense of camaraderie […]
