Microsoft Showcase School
November 27, 2024
We are very proud to announce that Aldenham Senior School has been awarded the coveted Microsoft Showcase School status for 2024-25.
Over the past five years we have developed our use of digital technologies in and out of lessons, to enhance the learning of Aldenham’s students. We are now in our third year of 1:1 devices for all students, and they are used effectively for learning across the curriculum. Students can access their classwork and prep through their devices, and the wide range of learning resources provided by the school, and available through the web.
Over the last year, we have been working with Microsoft to consolidate and expand our use of their technologies. To achieve this status, we compiled a comprehensive audit of how digital technologies are used in our school. This included identifying how we as a whole school has committed to the transformation in our everyday ways of working, how we embed a culture of growth and learning for the students and adults, and how digital allows for greater personalisation of learning and inclusion. We are rated as Advancing across all the Microsoft criteria, and will work towards Leading in these areas over the coming years.
In the words of Microsoft, Aldenham is now part of ‘…an elite group of schools that exemplify the best of teaching and learning in the world today. Only a few institutions earn this title… Microsoft Showcase Schools are pioneers in education. Your school is now part of an exclusive global community, recognized and celebrated for educational transformation that includes vision and innovation in teaching, learning, and preparing students for the future. “
