The Aldenham CCF
The CCF offers a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities. The aim is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline. Each CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence. The CCF at Aldenham includes the Army and Royal Air Force sections, and is also partnered with Queens’ School.
Becoming a cadet within the CCF can be a life-changing experience. Being a cadet will gives the opportunity to take part in a huge range of exciting and adventurous, military-themed activities. There is something for everyone.
Army and Air Force
The Army section aims to inspire cadets to achieve and promote the life-long qualities of responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness and a sense of service to the community. The training syllabus centres around the weapon. Activities include; drill, skill at arms, shooting, fieldcraft, first aid and adventurous training.
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets’ aims are to promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force. Membership of the RAF is exciting, rewarding and above all fun. Every year the CCF (RAF) provides cadets with approximately 36 flying scholarships, with every cadet having the opportunity to have at least one flying lesson with a qualified RAF pilot. Some of the key CCF activities include first aid, navigation, leadership and drill. Cadets will also get a chance to fly our very own flight simulator.
