New Thermofax Machine for Design Technology

November 25, 2016

Old Aldenhamian James James-Crook, Chairman of The Letchmore Trust, presented Head of Design & Technology, Cara Macdonald with a cheque on behalf of the Trustees for £1,725 to purchase a Thermofax machine for the department.

Mr James-Crook said he hoped that the Thermofax would be available to as many students as possible and that some would use it to produce works of art for next year’s annual Letchmore Trust Art competition.

The Letchmore Trust was originally founded to own and look after the magnificent Stanley Spencer paintings, commissioned by former Governor John Martineau, and gifted to the School by the Martineau family in 1958. The Trustees now manage various art and financial assets on behalf of the School. At their discretion the income generated from investments is used to support School activities and art projects, such as the annual Letchmore Trust Art Competition.
