Holocaust Memorial Day marked at Aldenham
January 30, 2017
The Senior School gathered in the Chapel on Friday 27th January to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. This year's theme was "How can life go on?" and stressed the importance of supporting those still living with the effects of the Holocaust and subsequent acts of genocide.

Four pupils who visited Auschwitz in October, Lauryn Edwell, Charlotte Yeabsley, Jolie Sharpe and Joe Masri spoke powerfully of their experiences, and of how there have been several acts of genocide throughout the world since the liberation of Auschwitz 72 years ago. Members of each House lit a candle of remembrance and the school stood in silence as a show of respect for victims of hatred. Revd. Green concluded the service by leading the school community in a prayer of commitment to building a more peaceful world.
