EPQ Presentation Evening

October 4, 2018

Parents, staff and students came together for a special celebratory event for the Upper Sixth EPQ students. The Extended Project Qualification is worth half an A Level and is highly valued by universities because it encourages the development of independent learning and research skills. Aldenham’s results for the qualification in 2018 were outstanding: 71% A*, 86% A* – A and 100% A* – C

Students chose their own topics to research and produce. This year these have ranged from the composition of an operetta, the design and construction of androgynous clothing, price to performance calculations for the best components for PC Gaming and a hearty debate on whether China will become a cashless society within the next decade. Each student presented on their research journey and the findings of their projects and the audience was impressed with the depth and rigour of their research.
