Aldenham U14 Footballers Bring Home the Silver

March 20, 2019

Our football success continues with another ISFA cup win for the School. This time it’s the U14s who beat Bradfield College 3-1 in the Elgin Capital League Final. A great result for our younger players which bodes well for the future of football at the School.

The final was held at Bromley Town FC on a wet and windy day when both teams had multiple opportunities to take the lead but no one was able to find the back of the net until the 28th minute when Aaron Benn converted a penalty following a foul in the box. Bradfield equalised just before half time. A break from Aldenham saw Jack Grieves take on a long effort which was parried by the Bradfield goalkeeper but Aaron Benn was there to knock the ball into the Bradfield net. Aldenham had one last break away with down the right hand side with Craig Jules. The ball was played across to Aaron Benn who turned inside the box and slotted the ball away, making him the unquestionable man of the match.
