Aldenham Athletes start the Season on a High
May 3, 2019
A successful start at the Watford District Senior Athletics Championships saw the Aldenham senior boys finish 3rd out of eight schools at the Senior Championships at Woodside. Daniel St John won the 100m, Edu Toiny-Pendred won the 400m and both boys were joined by Theo Vickeridge and Tomilade Fajana to win the relay.
The Herts Schools Combined Events Championships is an event set up as a stepping stone for future champions like Jess Ennis and Dean Macey where students compete individually in five events throughout the day. Alina Cofie finished second in the Junior Girls event and will go on to represent Hertfordshire at the Regional finals in June, and Tom Barrett also gained a second place finish in the Inter Boys event.
