Safeguarding at Aldenham is not just a statutory duty. We believe it is crucial that the children are safe, that their emotional and physical needs are met, and that any areas which are detrimental to their ability to thrive and identified and dealt with proactively. We have well-developed systems to support this process.

The House is a primary focus for all students. These become the extended families for children, building lasting friendships. Being supported through such crucial developmental stages by personal tutors and Housemasters enables the children to get the most out of school.

Although coming from the Christian Tradition, Aldenham welcomes those of all faiths and none. Faith, the spiritual dimension, and ethical reflection are taken seriously and the importance of loving one’s neighbour – even if they have a different background to you – is emphasised.
