12,000 Lessons taught in Lockdown

The need to become a virtual school was forced upon all schools at very short notice as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. We had just two weeks of Easter holiday to plan and create a completely new way of being School. It is fair to say that perhaps the most unusual summer term of our 423 year history did put us to the test. However, we did more than ‘get by’ and in true Aldenham fashion – we stood up and we delivered!
Here are some statistics from the last term during lockdown. We would like to thank everyone for their hard work and support – students, parents and staff.

Generative AI Assembly
Year 10 took part in an assembly exploring generative AI, preparing them for RileyBot sessions in their upcoming tutor time. Students explored how AI can be misused, from edited images to inaccurate translations and why it’s important to think critically. A fun translation challenge helped us spot who relied on AI and who didn’t!
