Aldenham Football Continued Success
January 17, 2019
The U15 ISFA Cup quarter final game against Bradfield started at a frantic pace with Bradfield having the better of the early play. They could have taken the lead through a header early on, but Aldenham keeper Lewis Lavin made an excellent save. After about 20 minutes Aldenham started to grow into the game and, following a great pass from Luca Boast that spilt the Bradfield defence, Romey Eccles-Meoded volleyed home.
The game stayed very close until 10 minutes into the second half when Charlie Patino scored a 30 yard free kick. Aldenham then began to dominate and scored a third goal through Aaron Benn after good work from Eccles-Meoded and Toj Ladipo. Aldenham had a number of chances to increase their lead but the score stayed at 3-0; an excellent victory for the boys who now progress to the semi-finals.
Last year’s U15 Aldenham team were the winners of this national title. We will be following the progress of this year’s squad with keen interest.
