June 15, 2017
Year 12 student Jodie Hall McAteer helped the Junior British Show Jumping Team win the Junior Nations Cup at the Dutch Youngster Festival in Wierden, The Netherlands. The team got the British campaign off to a great start when they took victory in their respective Nations Cup. Each horse and rider combination proved to be pivotal in securing GB’s win as they delivered clear rounds. The team finished on just 4 penalties, ahead of Belgium in second place on 8 penalties and The Netherlands and Germany in joint third on 16 penalties.

Having previously achieved remarkable success in show jumping on smaller horses, team trailblazer Jodie set a great standard when she delivered a superb double clear on board Coquin De Coquerie Z, an 8 year-old bay stallion. Their performance ensured that the Brits got off to a confident and solid start.

The competition was intense, but what stood out most was the respect and support everyone showed for each other. We celebrated not just the wins, but the effort, teamwork, and talent on display across the board.
