Aldenham win National Futsal Championships

March 12, 2018

The National Futsal Championships held in Guildford started with easy wins for the Aldenham U14 football team over Winchester and Millfield (3-0 and 6-0) before an impressive 2-1 win over Bradfield. All that was need now was a draw from the final 2 group games to qualify for the semi-finals. This was achieved with a goalless draw with eventual group winners St John’s Leatherhead.

The semi-final was against Repton which Aldenham won 1-0 to face a final rematch with St John’s. Spirits were high as the boys had dominated the group game. Saving their best football for the final, they went on to win 2-0 with goals from Tom Barrett and Ozzie Ufuah to be crowned national champions.
