Aldfest 2026

Aldfest 2026 was a fantastic celebration of music and community, held on one of the hottest days of the year. With a last-minute move outside the Pavilion, students from Year 7 to Year 13 delivered an outstanding and varied programme, expertly compered by Freddie and Harry, whose energy and humour set a relaxed festival tone.

The evening opened with the Junior Rock Band’s lively rendition of Should I Stay or Should I Go and closed memorably with Harry’s performance of Mr Brightside. Audiences enjoyed an eclectic mix of solos, duets, bands and ensembles, with music spanning artists including Oasis, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Elton John and Katy Perry. A standout addition this year was a live DJ set from Year 10 student Max, bringing an extra festival vibe.

Collaboration was a key highlight, with students supporting each other across performances, showcasing the depth of musical talent within the school. The atmosphere was enhanced by refreshments in the Pavilion and pizza ovens run by Mr Yeabsley and Housemasters, creating a relaxed, sociable feel.

Aldfest 2026 was a fitting and memorable way to round off the year.
