An Elizabethan Banquet
September 23, 2019
120 Sixth Form students – from both Year 12 and Year 13 – were lucky enough to enjoy another splendid edition of our annual Sixth Form Dinner on Friday 20 September. This year the theme was Queen Elizabeth I; some superb props (including a throne, a brass canon and some Elizabethan costumes) arranged by the enormously creative Mr Stewart, helped to make the evening as atmospheric as ever.
An excellent speech by Dr Fowler (wife of the Headmaster) told the students how lucky they were to be equipped with the inimitable Aldenham ‘gift of the gab’. This was followed by some highly entertaining speeches from our Head Boy and Head Girl. The food was superb and it provided a wonderful opportunity for our new students to bond, both with one another and with those who have been here longer. Many thanks for all those who helped to organise this wonderful event, which is a treasured Aldenham tradition.
