GCSE Dance
Students have the opportunity to take GCSE Dance as part of their optional choices. GCSE Dance offers students a comprehensive understanding of dance through performance, choreography, and appreciation. The course emphasizes practical and theoretical skills, with students learning set phrases for solo performances and participating in duet/trio performances.
They also develop choreographic skills, creating solo or group dances. Additionally, students critically appreciate their work and professional dance pieces from a diverse anthology, enhancing their analytical abilities. This blend of creative and critical study nurtures artistic expression and a deep understanding of dance, making it an enriching qualification for those passionate about the art form.
