Driving Range and Course Golf
At Aldenham, we compete in several competitions for both our A team and a wider range of abilities. Our A team complete in the ISGA Matchplay competition, where we have reached the national finals three times in the last ten years, and in the WS Schools’ Invitational Meeting.
We play in the annual Tom Morkill cup, a triangular competition involving teams of eight students with Dame Alice Owens (DAO) and the Brewers company. The annual OA match against the Old Aldenhamians, a newly formed Junior triangular competition with Mill Hill and DAO and the Hertfordshire mid-handicap and scratch stoke play championships.
Aldenham also offers golfers a chance to practise their golf through the enrichment programme with students heading to a local driving range and course each week.
Golfing Individual Success
Aldenham has a proud golfing heritage, and is equally proud to have current professional, tour-winning players amongst the Alumni. Matt Wallace was an outstanging sports scholar at Aldenham. Able to choose between any number of sports to take professionally, he chose Gold and has made a successful career with European tour wins and a top 50 World ranking in his bag, most recently securing his first PGA tour win in 2023. Arran Kanth is also an Old Aldenhamian and turned professional in the summer of 2024. A name to look out for.
