Historians visit Washington
The History and Politics department took 14 students to Washington this October. It was an outstanding trip that complemented their study of 20th century American History and American politics.
Whilst modern America does not have the same amount of History that we have here in the UK, what they do have they have done an incredible job of cherishing and promoting. The Historians visited the Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Martin Luther King, WW2, Korea and Vietnam memorials as well as The White House, Capitol Hill, The National Archives, The Museum of American History and The Air and Space Museum. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with all that Washington had to offer and comments were made about the attitude of our 6th formers who did themselves and the school proud.
