Isabella is a Swimming Ace

September 30, 2020

Congratulations to Isabella Yeabsley who has been selected onto a Swim England National Development Programme for elite swimmers across the country. The National Development Programme is the third step on the Swim England Extended Talent Pathway and the first on the national framework.

All the swimmers were chosen using the new adjusted selection guidelines that have been introduced for the 2020-21 season because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Usually there would be a minicamp where the swimmers go away to Sheffield but because of these strange times, the weekend coaching now has to be done on Zoom. The 13 and 14-year-olds are expected to join a day of online workshops covering ‘Loving Race Day’, sleep recovery and injury prevention. A dry land conditioning session will also emphasise mobility and stability to enhance the anti-rotational / rotational strokes and streamlining.
