Matt Wallace shares his golfing experience

February 11, 2019

It was great to welcome Matt Wallace back at his old school when he joined us to share his many golfing talents and experiences with staff and sports scholars. Professional golfer Matt is currently ranked 37th in the world. Our young golfers were especially thrilled to receive a special coaching session which will undoubtedly help them when they compete in the ISGA national finals in April. The wind and rain served as an opportunity for Matt to offer tips on what to look out for and the importance of practice in all weathers!

Matt was able to catch up with many familiar members of staff on his walk down memory lane, and also took the opportunity to visit his old House. At a Q & A Matt’s advice for a road to success is Practice, Preparation, Process and Patience. It’s certainly working for him – keep up the great work Matt and we all wish you good luck in the Masters in April. Explaining that the many friendships he made at Aldenham have continued to this day, Matt also said that he never expected to be returning in the capacity of sharing advice on how to achieve excellence in a highly competitive field.

We were all very grateful to him for making the time to come back to the School to share his experiences, and will of course continue to follow his progress with enthusiasm and pride.
