Meet Ecto!

The Biology Department acquired a Bearded Dragon this week. Our dragon’s name is Ecto, named for a reason (being a reptile and ectothermic i.e. cold blooded)! It is important from an educational perspective to introduce our learners to a range of organisms in the department (especially since they learn about the characteristics of the 5 kingdoms including the classification of animals such as reptiles) and it is excellent for their engagement and interest in the subject, as is the appreciation and education of the care of such a creature.
