We wish our leavers ‘All the Best!’

September 11, 2020

Despite the very difficult situation that students found themselves in as a result of the cancellation of written exams, we were delighted that Aldenham students were able to see success in their university admissions this summer.

Of the 86 students in our 2020 Year 13 group, 95% were admitted to their first or second choice university with a very small number electing to take a gap year or go straight into work. We were delighted that 30 of these chose to study at Russell Group universities with others heading not only to other universities around the country, but also to the USA and three highly talented music students moving on to study at the very highly regarded BIMM Institute for the performing arts. The range of subjects chosen for further study was as broad as it always is, with students taking courses ranging from English and PPE to Criminology, Film production, and International Business. Over a third of the students have chosen to take a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) subject, with girls as well as boys similarly well represented.

As usual, the roster of universities that Aldenham students will be attending covers almost all the major institutions across the country including Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Leeds, Loughborough, Manchester, Nottingham, Southampton and Warwick.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all our students for their fortitude during these challenging times and wish them every success in their future studies
