NHS Medical Workshop
September 14, 2026
Year 10 and Year 12 science students took part in a hands‑on medical workshop bringing real NHS experience into school.
Students explored practical clinical skills including ECG recording, ultrasound scanning, keyhole surgery tools, vein‑scanning and eye‑condition simulation. A highlight was discovering how growth plates reveal whether someone is still growing — sparking plenty of laughter and comparisons.
Alongside the practical activities, students learned about NHS career routes (350 roles) and heard valuable advice about university applications and healthcare pathways.
