Senior District Athletics wins
April 26, 2016
Monday 25 April saw the Senior District Athletics Championships at Woodside Stadium. The last few years have seen a plethora of success in the lower years and with some of these athletes now eligible for the Senior event we were confident of some success and the students did not disappoint.
Fiona Mcquire (Yr 13) successfully defended her Discus title from last year and also went on to break the District record with a throw over 32m. Toni Ademuwagun (Yr 11) won the High Jump with an impressive jump of 1.81m. Zacky Agama (Yr 11) won the 100m and then lost out on becoming a double champion in the Triple Jump by just 1cm. Toni and Zacky were also part of a young relay team which finished second. Harry James (Yr 11) and Isaac Okeowo (Yr 12) made up the quartet.
